Silk Mark certified pure silk
“Handloom sarees are woven entirely by hand on traditional looms. The minor variations in weave are the artisan's signature — proof that no other saree in the world is exactly this one.”
Color: Poppy Pink
Silk Type: Mulberry
Loom Type: Handloom
Blouse Piece: Included
Motifs/Patterns: There's something about poppy pink that just refuses to be ignored. This handloom pure silk Pochampalli ikat glows in that exact shade — bright, warm, and full of life — with the classic tie-and-dye motifs blooming across it in mustard, white, and bottle green. Think of the color as the confident lead singer and those three tones as the backup that makes the whole thing sing.
Because it's a true Pochampalli silk, it's featherlight. It drapes like water and sits soft on the shoulder, so wearing it never feels like a chore, even through a long day. And here's the part people don't expect from silk — it breathes. In the heat of the season it stays airy and cool against the skin, the way a good cotton would, which is exactly what makes Pochampalli ikat such a joy to wear when everything else feels too heavy.
It also happens to be a bit of a shape-shifter. Clean and composed enough to slip into your workwear rotation, yet that playful color combination gives it enough spark for functions, parties, and dinners. One saree, many rooms.
The body is where the ikat does its talking. Colourful motifs are spread across it in the signature tie-and-dye technique, worked in mustard, white, and bottle green. Against the poppy pink ground those colours pop without ever fighting for attention, and together they balance out the plain solid border beautifully — detail on one side, calm on the other, holding each other in check.
The pallu carries a beautiful ikat pattern laid out in a panel design. It's simplicity at its peak — nothing overdone, nothing shouting — and that's precisely why it works so well with the rest of the saree. It rounds the piece off with the same understated confidence the border sets up.
The saree comes with an attached blouse piece to complete the look.
Border Details: The border is solid poppy pink, running clean along the top and bottom edges of the saree. No busy work here — just a calm, uninterrupted band of colour that frames everything else. It's the quiet counterweight to the detailed body, and that restraint is exactly what makes the whole saree feel balanced rather than busy.
Special Techniques: Ikat is not printed and it's not embroidered — the pattern is dyed into the threads before a single line is woven. That's what makes it special, and that's what makes it slow.
Here's the simple version. On a plain fabric, you weave first and add the design later. In ikat, you flip that order completely. The weaver takes the pure mulberry silk yarn and, working from the design in their head, ties tiny, tight knots at exact points along the threads — wherever a spot needs to resist the dye and stay its original colour. The yarn then goes into the dye bath, and only the untied sections take the colour. Untie, re-tie in new spots, dye again in the next colour, and repeat — one colour at a time — until every thread carries its share of the final pattern.
Only then does the weaving begin. The catch is that the pattern already lives inside those coloured threads, so as the weaver runs them on the loom, they have to line up each dyed section by hand so the motifs meet and form the design you see. A slight shift here or there gives ikat its soft, feathered edges — that gentle blur is the signature, the proof that a human hand placed every thread rather than a machine printing on top. Do the math on a saree's worth of yarn, tied and dyed and aligned by hand, and you understand why a real Pochampalli silk takes the time it does.
And to back all of that up, the saree carries a Silk Mark — your assurance that what you're wearing is genuine, pure silk.
Season: All seasons
Care Instructions: Only dry cleaning. Never steam iron. If ironing at home, place a cotton/mulmul cloth on top of the saree and use your iron at the lowest heat setting. Our skilled artisans use natural dyes for all our handloom collection and this will protect the intricate zari work, fabric and wont harm your precious handloom.
Store in a cotton bag or a muslin cloth to protect against moisture."

Handloom sarees are entirely hand-woven on traditional looms by skilled artisans. Natural variations like minor thread ends, slight pattern variations, or subtle texture differences are authentic characteristics, not defects. These make each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
We photograph our sarees professionally to show accurate colors. However, slight variations may occur due to screen settings and lighting. The natural handloom process may also create subtle color variations, which add to its authenticity.
