“Handloom sarees are woven entirely by hand on traditional looms. The minor variations in weave are the artisan's signature — proof that no other saree in the world is exactly this one.”
Color: Red
Silk Type: Matka
Loom Type: Handloom
Blouse Piece: Included
Motifs/Patterns: Some reds ask for attention; this one simply commands the room. It's a rich, vibrant red, yarn-dyed so the colour sits deep in the fibre rather than on top of it, which is exactly why it glows the way it does on a Matka silk body. That slubby, textured Matka weave gives the red a depth and a life you can almost feel. Then comes the surprise — a sheer muslin silk pallu draped in flowing Jamdani work, lit up with silver and golden tested zari.
This is a saree with presence. It carries the kind of energy that quietly takes over a party — sophisticated, celebratory, impossible to overlook. It's the one you reach for without a second thought, because red like this doesn't just complete a look, it shifts the whole mood of a space and wraps it in something warm and positive. You don't overthink this colour; you simply wear it and let it do the work.
The body is kept plain and solid, and that restraint is deliberate. Against a Jamdani border and a heavily worked pallu, a clean red body is exactly what balances the saree. This kind of piece looks its best when the body isn't crowded with buttis or extra motifs — the solid Matka lets the border and pallu breathe and shine. That's the quiet sophistication a Matka silk deserves, and it's precisely enough.
The pallu is the showpiece. Woven in sheer muslin silk, it carries the entire Jamdani story — beautiful floral and lata (creeper) vinework spreading across the panel in silver and gold. That lightweight muslin does something clever: it lifts and lightens the heavier Matka body, giving the saree a whole new dimension where a solid, grounded drape suddenly turns airy and ethereal at the end. It finishes with tassels, and the saree comes with an attached blouse piece to complete the set.
Border Details: The border is where the craft announces itself. Delicate flower motifs are woven straight into the fabric in the Jamdani technique, worked in golden and silver zari, and running along both the top and bottom of the saree. It's fine, floral, and full of shine — the perfect frame for everything the saree holds.
Special Techniques: This saree is really two crafts meeting in one drape. The body is pure Matka silk — a thick, slightly slubby, textured silk spun from the matka fibre, which is what gives it that rich, earthy hand and lets the yarn-dyed red sit so deep.
The magic is in the Jamdani. Jamdani isn't printed or embroidered on afterward — it's a supplementary-weft technique done entirely by hand at the loom. As the weaver builds the base fabric, they lift the threads and insert each little motif with a fine needle, thread by thread, flower by flower, working the design into the cloth as it grows. Every leaf and creeper is placed by hand, which is why no two are ever exactly alike and why Jamdani takes the time it does.
And that Jamdani work shows up in two places here. The floral motifs along the border are woven into the Matka body itself in the same needle technique, and the flowing floral-and-lata design fills the sheer muslin pallu. So the two components are woven to work together — the sturdy Matka giving the saree its body, colour, and bordered flowers, and the airy muslin giving the pallu its transparency and letting the zari float. Joining a solid Matka body to a fine muslin Jamdani pallu on one loom is skilled work, and it's what gives this saree its distinctive light-and-heavy character.
The zari used is a tested zari, which matters. Tested zari is treated and quality-checked to hold its colour and shine far longer than cheap imitation zari, which tends to blacken and dull with time. Paired with the yarn-dyed red, it means both the colour and the sparkle are made to last — a saree that looks this good now and stays that way.
Season: All seasons
Care Instructions: Only dry cleaning. Never steam iron. If ironing at home, place a cotton/mulmul cloth on top of the saree and use your iron at the lowest heat setting. Our skilled artisans use natural dyes for all our handloom collection and this will protect the intricate zari work, fabric and wont harm your precious handloom.
Store in a cotton bag or a muslin cloth to protect against moisture."

We photograph our sarees professionally to show accurate colors. However, slight variations may occur due to screen settings and lighting. The natural handloom process may also create subtle color variations, which add to its authenticity.
