“Handloom sarees are woven entirely by hand on traditional looms. The minor variations in weave are the artisan's signature — proof that no other saree in the world is exactly this one.”

Color: Ivory and Red
Loom Type: Handloom
Blouse Piece: Included
Motifs/Patterns: This saree comes in ivory, red, and rose-gold zari — a combination that reads as rich without being heavy. It's a genuinely contemporary take on jamdani, an age-old weaving technique, built around a half-and-half design. That structure is what makes it feel current: instead of one continuous pattern running the full length, the saree shifts between sheer and solid sections, giving it a sense of movement and contrast that a traditional single-pattern jamdani wouldn't have. The first half is built on a panel design. Some panels sit on a sheer muslin silk base, and the sheerness itself does real work here — it lets the red jamdani thread work show through with a soft, layered quality rather than sitting flat and opaque. Between these sheer panels, other sections switch to a solid silk-linen base, carrying small jamdani booties (individual standalone motifs) woven in red. That alternation, sheer panel to solid panel and back, is what gives this half of the saree its rhythm. The second half drops the panel structure entirely and moves to a solid silk-linen base throughout, with no alternation. This is where the fabric blend itself becomes the main feature: silk woven together with linen gives the base a lustrous glow that plain linen doesn't have on its own — linen's structure and body, with silk's sheen layered into it. The pallu continues the first half's design language — a sheer muslin silk base carrying a geometric pattern done in the jamdani needle technique, in the same red-and-rose-gold palette as the rest of the saree. It closes out with a section of solid silk-linen, echoing the second half's fabric, before finishing in handmade tassels. Saree comes with pinstripe blouse piece to complete the set.
Border Details: The border carries two layers working together. Right at the edge, a clean rose-gold trim runs the full length, top and bottom. Just inside that, a wider grey-toned geometric border adds triangles and diamonds in sequence, giving the edge real visual weight without competing with the red motifs elsewhere on the saree.
Special Techniques: This is a yarn-dyed saree — the ivory, red, and rose-gold all go into the thread before weaving begins, not applied to the finished cloth afterward. That's why the colors sit cleanly against each other instead of bleeding or looking muddy at the transitions. Two fabrics run through this saree. Muslin silk — used in the sheer panels and throughout the pallu — is a fine, sheer weave made with silk yarn, which is what lets the jamdani thread work show through with that layered, semi-transparent quality. Silk-linen — used in the solid panels and the second half — blends linen's natural structure with silk's sheen, giving those sections a glow that plain linen wouldn't have. Moving between these two fabrics within a single saree, sheer to solid and back again in the panel half, then a full solid-to-sheer shift between the two halves, means the weaver is managing different tensions and textures across one loom — a genuinely demanding technical setup. The jamdani work itself, in the panels and the pallu, is done using the needle technique. The weaver counts the threads on the loom row by row and inserts the red thread by hand exactly where each booty or geometric shape needs to sit, motif by motif, from memory — no printing, no machine. Working this against the sheer muslin silk sections takes particular precision, since there's very little fabric density to hide any unevenness; the sheerness means every stitch is fully visible from both sides of the cloth. The zari used here is tested.
Season: All seasons

Care Instructions: Only dry cleaning. Never steam iron. If ironing at home, place a cotton/mulmul cloth on top of the saree and use your iron at the lowest heat setting. Our skilled artisans use natural dyes for all our handloom collection and this will protect the intricate zari work, fabric and wont harm your precious handloom. Store in a cotton bag or a muslin cloth to protect against moisture."
