The base carries that classic warm, natural Tussar tone — soft, earthy, with the gentle gold cast Tussar is loved for — lifted by bright yellow and black threadwork, a crisp black edging, and little butis scattered all over. It's silk, yet light and breathable, with that signature slightly textured Tussar hand that drapes beautifully and wears easily through summer and across the whole year. The skill lies in the weaving. Tussar silk — a wild silk known for its natural golden tone and gentle texture — forms the base, and on that ground each Jamdani motif is added entirely by hand. Using a fine needle-like tool, the weaver inserts supplementary yellow and black pattern threads between the base threads, motif by motif, directly on the loom — no printing, no machine, no shortcut. The dense pallu and the scattered butis are all built this way, thread by thread. It's slow, patient handwork passed down over generations, which is exactly what makes a genuine Tussar Jamdani feel so special to own.

Care Instructions: Only dry cleaning. Never steam iron. If ironing at home, place a cotton/mulmul cloth on top of the saree and use your iron at the lowest heat setting. Our skilled artisans use natural dyes for all our handloom collection and this will protect the intricate zari work, fabric and wont harm your precious handloom.
