“Handloom sarees are woven entirely by hand on traditional looms. The minor variations in weave are the artisan's signature — proof that no other saree in the world is exactly this one.”
Color: Black and Coral Pink
Loom Type: Handloom
Blouse Piece: Included
Motifs/Patterns: This saree pairs a deep black with coral pink thread and silver zari, built on a half-and-half design. One half is covered in dense jamdani work: a lattice of tiny coral and silver flowers so tightly woven it looks like a jewelled tapestry. The other half is plain black linen, calm and clean. Together they feel regal and celebratory, without trying too hard.
For anyone who prefers not to wear silk, or who follows a vegan lifestyle, this saree is the perfect choice. It’s linen from base to border, and its zari isn’t silk-based, so you get all the grandeur of a festive handloom without any silk. Linen falls beautifully, feels crisp yet soft against the skin, and breathes, so you can wear it through every season, from a summer lunch to a winter wedding.
The body follows the half-and-half concept. The first half is woven entirely with the jamdani needle technique: small four-petal flowers in coral pink and silver zari, each set inside a diamond lattice of fine coral lines, repeated edge to edge in a tight, even grid. The geometric, almost pixel-like shapes recall the famous patola weaves of Gujarat, but every flower here is placed by hand, jamdani-style. The second half is solid black linen, and against all that detail its plainness looks deeply sophisticated. One half sparkles and the other rests, and the balance is what makes the saree.
The pallu continues the jamdani lattice from the first half and carries it all the way across. Draped over the shoulder, it covers the upper body in a glowing net of coral and silver flowers, like wearing a jewelled shawl, so the moment you drape it, the whole saree comes alive. It ends in tassels, and the saree comes with an attached running blouse piece.
Border Details: A slim silver zari edging runs along the top and bottom of the saree, with a fine line of black linen just beside it. It’s a quiet frame, a thin line of light around the dark fabric, and it keeps the overall look clean and polished.
Special Techniques: Yarn-dyed. The black linen, the coral pink thread and the base colours are all dyed into the thread before weaving begins, not added to the finished cloth. Every thread carries its own colour, so the black stays deep and the coral stays bright and even.
Needle jamdani on linen. As each row of the linen is woven, the weaver counts the warp threads and uses a fine needle to place the coral thread or the silver zari only where that part of the flower or lattice belongs. Then the row is beaten down and the next one begins. There’s no printing, no machine and no drawn guide; the whole pattern is carried in the weaver’s memory.
Why linen makes it harder. Linen is a stiffer, less forgiving fibre than silk. It doesn’t stretch or give way, so the weaver has to work every motif through a firmer, slightly uneven yarn while keeping the tension perfectly steady. Too tight and the fabric puckers; too loose and the motifs blur. Jamdani is usually woven on soft cotton or silk, so doing it this cleanly on linen takes real skill.
Why the tight weave takes so long. This isn’t jamdani with a few scattered motifs. The lattice covers half the saree and the entire pallu, with flowers packed closely in every row. In each small space, the weaver switches between coral thread and silver zari, and every flower and every line of the lattice has to line up with its neighbours across the full width, or the grid drifts. That means thousands of hand-placed motifs and many weeks at the loom.
The zari. The silver zari is tested zari. It isn’t silk-based, and it’s checked for quality and consistency.
Uses a copper or alloy base with a real silver/gold electroplating check (passing a basic metallic test), sitting between luxury pure zari and cheap synthetics.
Season: All seasons
Care Instructions: Only dry cleaning. Never steam iron. If ironing at home, place a cotton/mulmul cloth on top of the saree and use your iron at the lowest heat setting. Our skilled artisans use natural dyes for all our handloom collection and this will protect the intricate zari work, fabric and wont harm your precious handloom.
Store in a cotton bag or a muslin cloth to protect against moisture."

Handloom sarees are entirely hand-woven on traditional looms by skilled artisans. Natural variations like minor thread ends, slight pattern variations, or subtle texture differences are authentic characteristics, not defects. These make each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
We photograph our sarees professionally to show accurate colors. However, slight variations may occur due to screen settings and lighting. The natural handloom process may also create subtle color variations, which add to its authenticity.
