“Handloom sarees are woven entirely by hand on traditional looms. The minor variations in weave are the artisan's signature — proof that no other saree in the world is exactly this one.”
Color: Ivory and Fuchsia Pink
Silk Type: Tussar Silk
Loom Type: Handloom
Blouse Piece: Included
Motifs/Patterns: This is a 100% handloom pure Gachi Tussar Jamdani in a deeper ivory, set in contrast with fuchsia pink, with jaal weaving running throughout the saree. Gachi Tussar has a character all its own — a soft, natural warmth in the ivory that never reads as stark white, and a hand that's gentle on the skin from the first drape. It breathes in summer and holds warmth in winter, which makes it a true all-year saree.
Elegant and quietly sophisticated, this is the piece you reach for when the occasion calls for grace rather than glitter. It belongs to a Durga Puja morning, to household rituals, to wedding functions, to a special day at work — and it slips just as easily into lunches, brunches and dinners. Wherever you take it, it looks considered.
The body is a dark ivory base carrying full jaal work across its entire length — a continuous lattice, with flower motifs blooming at the intersections. The contrast threadwork does everything here: crisp white building the jaal, fuchsia pink picking out the flower centres in small, bright accents. This is a completely zari-less saree, and that's exactly what makes it special. Pure threadwork on Gachi Tussar creates a matte, tactile richness — nothing glitters, everything glows. The result feels refined rather than ornamental, which is the whole point of a saree like this.
The pallu opens into large, bold Jamdani motifs worked almost entirely in fuchsia pink. The forms read as stylised geometry — angular, architectural shapes built from steps and points, with small white threadwork cut-outs sitting inside them like windows. Row upon row of these motifs march across the pallu, and the effect is striking: graphic, tribal-modern, and completely at home against the deeper ivory ground. Fine pinstripe bands run between the sections to punctuate the design and keep it structured. The saree ends with handmade tassels and comes with a running blouse piece.
Border Details: The border carries geometric motifs worked in the traditional Jamdani needle technique, running along both the top and bottom of the saree. The weaving here is tight and thick — dense enough that you can feel the labour in it — and it's the clearest evidence of the master weaver's hand. Every angle is counted, every repeat aligned. Fuchsia pink appears between the motifs, threading warmth through the ivory and giving the border its lift. It's traditional work executed with real precision, and it frames the saree beautifully.
Special Techniques: This is a 100% handloom pure Gachi Tussar Jamdani, and it carries the Silk Mark — your assurance of genuine silk. It is also yarn-dyed: the threads are dyed before weaving begins, which is why the fuchsia sits so deep and even, reads identical on both sides, and holds its tone through years of wear.
Gachi Tussar itself is a wild silk, reeled from cocoons rather than farmed like mulberry. The yarn comes off uneven — thick in places, fine in others — which gives the fabric its natural ivory tone and its distinctive soft, dry, slightly textured hand. Weaving it demands patience: the irregular yarn breaks easily and needs constant tension adjustment across the whole length of the saree.
Onto that ground goes the Jamdani. Every motif — the geometric border, the entire jaal across the body, the bold forms on the pallu — is inserted by hand with a fine needle-like stick while the weaving is in progress. There is no printed pattern and no machine assistance; the design lives in the weaver's memory and appears thread by thread, pick by pick.
And because this saree is zari-less, the difficulty is doubled. There is no metallic shine to distract the eye from an uneven motif — every shape must be counted perfectly, because the threadwork alone carries the entire design. Full jaal work like this can take weeks on the loom. What you're draping is skill made visible.
Season: All seasons
Care Instructions: Only dry cleaning. Never steam iron. If ironing at home, place a cotton/mulmul cloth on top of the saree and use your iron at the lowest heat setting. Our skilled artisans use natural dyes for all our handloom collection and this will protect the intricate zari work, fabric and wont harm your precious handloom.
Store in a cotton bag or a muslin cloth to protect against moisture."

We photograph our sarees professionally to show accurate colors. However, slight variations may occur due to screen settings and lighting. The natural handloom process may also create subtle color variations, which add to its authenticity.
