“Handloom sarees are woven entirely by hand on traditional looms. The minor variations in weave are the artisan's signature — proof that no other saree in the world is exactly this one.”
Color: Jamun
Loom Type: Handloom
Blouse Piece: Included
Motifs/Patterns: This saree comes in a beautiful jamun shade — deep, rich, and full of character, the kind of color that looks equally at home in daylight and under evening lights. It's a color that carries real presence without needing anything extra to help it along. The tissue weave running through the base gives the whole saree a warm golden glaze, and metal sequins in rose-gold and silver are woven throughout, adding a scattered shimmer against that jamun depth. It's festive enough for Durga Puja and other auspicious occasions, but restrained enough to hold its own at a formal work event or an awards night — genuinely one of those pieces that doesn't force you to pick a single occasion for it.
Across the body, metal sequins are woven in straight, orderly lines against the tissue muslin silk base. The tissue weave itself carries a fine metallic thread built into the fabric, which is what gives the jamun color its warm glow rather than a flat matte finish. The sequin lines sit on top of that glow, and the combination is what makes the jamun read as richer and more saturated than a plain dye job would produce on its own.
The pallu is where the saree does the most work. Jamdani motifs are woven in a flowing vine pattern using both rose-gold and silver zari, giving the floral forms a two-tone depth rather than a single flat color. Metal sequins are woven throughout this section too, densely enough to create a genuine starry effect when the light catches it — noticeable without tipping into overdone. The saree finishes in hand-knotted tassels and comes with a contrasting blouse piece.
Border Details: A rose-gold edge runs along the top and bottom, and metal sequins are clustered close together right alongside it — dense enough that the sequins and the zari trim read as one continuous border rather than two separate elements. That clustering is what gives the border its visual weight; instead of a thin line, it looks like a broader, more substantial edge framing the saree from end to end.
Special Techniques: This is a yarn-dyed saree — the jamun color goes into the thread before it's ever woven, not painted onto the finished cloth afterward. That's why the color sits so evenly and richly through the fabric.
The metal sequins are two-toned — rose-gold and silver — and they're woven directly into the fabric during the weaving process itself, not stitched on afterward. That's why the sparkle looks even and built into the cloth rather than sitting on the surface like an appliqué.
The zari used in the pallu motifs is tested zari — genuine metallic thread wound onto a silk core, not the flat imitation film used in cheaper work. That's why the rose-gold and silver in the floral motifs catch light with a soft glow instead of a harsh glare.
The jamdani motifs are made using the needle technique. The weaver counts the threads on the loom row by row and inserts the rose-gold or silver zari by hand exactly where each part of the vine pattern needs to sit, working motif by motif from memory — no printing, no machine. Doing this against a tissue muslin base, which already carries its own metallic thread, means the weaver is working two different metallic elements into the same cloth at once — the tissue built into the weave, and the zari added motif by motif on top of it. That layering is what gives the pallu its density and richness without the fabric ever feeling heavy.
Season: All seasons
Care Instructions: Only dry cleaning. Never steam iron. If ironing at home, place a cotton/mulmul cloth on top of the saree and use your iron at the lowest heat setting. Our skilled artisans use natural dyes for all our handloom collection and this will protect the intricate zari work, fabric and wont harm your precious handloom.
Store in a cotton bag or a muslin cloth to protect against moisture."

Handloom sarees are entirely hand-woven on traditional looms by skilled artisans. Natural variations like minor thread ends, slight pattern variations, or subtle texture differences are authentic characteristics, not defects. These make each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
We photograph our sarees professionally to show accurate colors. However, slight variations may occur due to screen settings and lighting. The natural handloom process may also create subtle color variations, which add to its authenticity.
