Motifs/Patterns: Peach, red, rose gold. Three colours that sound like they shouldn't work together and then absolutely do.
The peach is soft and warm — not orange, not pink, but the shade that sits between the two and flatters almost every skin tone. Against it, the thread work comes in a clear, confident red that stops the saree from ever looking washed out. And running through both is rose gold zari, which is the piece that ties it together. Gold would have been too loud against this peach. Silver would have gone cold. Rose gold has warmth built into the metal itself, so it sits in the peach rather than sitting on top of it.
The feel is the reason you'll reach for this one. It is extremely lightweight, with a crisp, papery hand that comes from the linen and a sheer softness that comes from the muslin. It falls beautifully, holds a pleat, and weighs almost nothing across the shoulder.
Elegant, sophisticated, and unmistakably modern. This is a traditional weave that has been styled to look like it belongs in this decade.
This is a Durga Puja morning saree — light enough for a full day of pandal-hopping, dressy enough for the photographs.
It is also, quietly, one of the best work sarees you can own. If you wear sarees to office, this is the one that reads polished without reading heavy. Formal meetings, festive Fridays, day functions, lunches, family get-togethers.
Some sarees make you think. This one you pull out and wear.
The body is a half-and-half, and this is where the saree earns its price.
One half is worked in the panel concept — the design laid out in defined vertical panels rather than scattered evenly across the fabric. This paneling sits entirely on the sheer section, which is pure muslin silk. Inside it you'll find bold red thread work, a flowing leaf design, and rose gold jamdani motifs placed between the panels. Because the ground is sheer, the motifs appear to float rather than sit on cloth.
Elsewhere, over the silk linen base, small jamdani booties are scattered at regular intervals — tiny red and rose gold accents that keep the surface alive without competing with the panels.
The other half of the saree is solid silk linen, left plain. And that emptiness is intentional. It gives the eye somewhere to rest, and it makes the worked half look far richer by contrast.
This is what makes the saree feel contemporary. Jamdani is a centuries-old weave, but it's traditionally distributed evenly across the fabric. Breaking it into panels and pairing it with a plain half is a modern design language applied to an ancient technique — old craft, new grammar.
The pallu comes in two parts, and together they finish the saree perfectly.
The first is a broad sheer section in muslin silk, carrying the red thread work and rose gold zari at their fullest scale. This is the ethereal part — light passes straight through it, so the motifs seem to hang in air. Thrown over the shoulder, it moves and catches light with every step. It is, without question, the most beautiful section of the saree.
The second part is silk linen, ending in handmade tassels. It gives the pallu weight at the very end so it falls properly instead of flying about, and the hand-knotted tassels give it a soft, artisanal finish.
Sheer into solid, weightless into grounded. The pallu is a summary of the entire saree in one panel.
The saree comes with a matching blouse piece in a fine pinstripe.
Border Details: The border is deliberately simple — a fine rose gold edging running along the top and bottom of the saree, and nothing more.
That restraint is the design decision that makes the whole saree work. The body already carries a bold panel layout with dense red thread work. A broad, worked border on top of that would have made the saree noisy and heavy. Instead, the thin rose gold line frames everything and gets out of the way.
Think of it as the picture frame, not the picture. It gives the panels a clean edge to sit against and lets them do all the talking.
Special Techniques: Three yarns, one loom, on a single continuous warp — and that is the whole challenge of this saree.
The yarns. Silk linen gives the crisp body, the structure, and the fall. Muslin silk gives the sheer, weightless sections. Rose gold zari tested zari — fine metallic thread wound onto a core — supplies the shimmer. The yarns are dyed before weaving, not the finished fabric after, which is why the peach has depth rather than sitting flat on the surface.
The difficulty. These three yarns behave nothing alike. Linen is stiff and barely stretches. Muslin silk is fine and slack. Zari is heavy and drags. Switching from linen to muslin mid-saree, while keeping the warp tension steady enough that neither section puckers, is the hardest thing this weaver does. Get it wrong and the sheer half ripples or the linen half goes loose. There is no way to correct it later.
The jamdani work. Every motif is made by hand, with a needle. No jacquard, no punch card, no pattern pre-set in the loom. After each row of ground weft, the weaver counts the warp threads and inserts the coloured red or rose gold thread by hand exactly where the design needs it, one motif at a time, working from memory. Then beats it down and repeats. Every leaf, every panel line, every butee is placed individually.
This is why jamdani is called the most labour-intensive handloom in the world, and why the reverse of a true jamdani has no floating threads to hide.

Care Instructions: Only dry cleaning. Never steam iron. If ironing at home, place a cotton/mulmul cloth on top of the saree and use your iron at the lowest heat setting. Our skilled artisans use natural dyes for all our handloom collection and this will protect the intricate zari work, fabric and wont harm your precious handloom.
Store in a cotton bag or a muslin cloth to protect against moisture."
