“Handloom sarees are woven entirely by hand on traditional looms. The minor variations in weave are the artisan's signature — proof that no other saree in the world is exactly this one.”
Color: Light Olive
Loom Type: Handloom
Blouse Piece: Included
Motifs/Patterns: This is a handloom pure matka muslin silk Jamdani, built on a half-and-half concept — the first half in sheer muslin silk covered in Jamdani weaving, the latter half in solid matka silk. The base sits in a soft light olive that melts into a lighter blend of ivory and pale olive, and over it floats multiple-thread Jamdani work in bottle green, royal blue, peach and beige. The saree is extremely lightweight, yet the layered threadwork gives it real depth. And this is a colour that refuses to be boxed in: it doesn't need you to decide the time of day. Drape it for a special day at work, slip into lunches, brunches, dinners, or any party — formal or informal, morning or night, it holds its own. Age is no bar either; this is a contemporary saree with a genuinely modern feel, and the intricacy of the Jamdani motifs showcases exactly that.
The body follows the half-and-half concept faithfully. The first half is muslin silk, sheer and weightless, carrying Jamdani motifs woven in the typical needle technique — vines in bottle green, florals and leaves filled in royal blue, peach and beige. The threadwork sits beautifully against the light olive base, looking effortlessly sophisticated. Watch the colour as it moves: the first half holds a slightly darker olive, then transcends into that lighter ivory-olive tone as it flows into the solid matka half. This kind of gentle colour play works beautifully on a matka base — the fabric's natural texture catches the shift and makes it glow.
The saree ends its muslin silk story and closes on solid matka silk, finished with fine pinstripes woven across the pallu. And here is what makes it special: it is complete threadwork — zero zari, anywhere. Every motif, every vine, every stripe is built purely from dyed thread, which means the entire concentration, the workmanship, and the sheer number of hours all go into the weave itself. Threadwork without zari has its own taste — quieter, more refined, and extremely sophisticated. Nothing glitters here; everything glows.
The saree also comes with a running blouse piece.
Border Details: This is a borderless saree — and that is a very deliberate design decision, not an omission. The entire first half is already alive with Jamdani motifs; on a half-and-half concept like this, a border would only crowd the story. The design is solid enough to carry itself. Very few sarees make you forget to look for a border — this is one of them. The absence of a frame is what lets the workmanship take up all the attention it deserves.
Special Techniques: This is a 100% handwoven pure matka muslin silk Jamdani, and it is yarn-dyed — every thread takes its colour before it ever touches the loom, which is why the shades stay true on both sides of the fabric. Jamdani is already one of the most demanding techniques in handloom: each motif is inlaid by hand, thread by thread, as the weaving progresses, with no printed pattern to follow. Doing it on muslin silk raises the difficulty further — the yarn is so fine and delicate that one careless pick can tear the ground. And marrying that fragile muslin to the textured, robust matka silk in a single seamless saree demands two very different tensions handled on one loom. This is not work a beginner attempts. The scale and finish here show the hand of skilled master weavers with years of experience — the kind of hands from which a Jamdani like this comes out beautifully.
Season: All seasons
Care Instructions: Only dry cleaning. Never steam iron. If ironing at home, place a cotton/mulmul cloth on top of the saree and use your iron at the lowest heat setting. Our skilled artisans use natural dyes for all our handloom collection and this will protect the intricate zari work, fabric and wont harm your precious handloom.
Store in a cotton bag or a muslin cloth to protect against moisture."

We photograph our sarees professionally to show accurate colors. However, slight variations may occur due to screen settings and lighting. The natural handloom process may also create subtle color variations, which add to its authenticity.
