Base Weaving: Natural tussar silk threads form both warp and weft on traditional pit looms, creating the lightweight base fabric with its characteristic slub texture.
Jamdani Inlay Technique: Colorful motifs are created using the discontinuous supplementary weft method - artisans manually insert colored resham threads only where designs appear, using small bamboo sticks or bobbins during the weaving process itself.
Manual Thread Counting: Weavers count individual threads to precisely position each buti and pattern, following traditional graph designs passed down through generations.
Two-Weaver Coordination: Master weavers work in pairs, one handling the base tussar weaving while both collaborate on the intricate supplementary weft inlay work to create the Jamdani patterns.

Individual Motif Weaving: Each buti is hand-woven separately as an independent design element, making motifs appear to float on the fabric rather than being continuous across the width.
