Motifs/Patterns: This is a stunning grey muslin jamdani in a 120-count weave, set off by deep red and lifted with multi-color threadwork in mustard, purple, and red. Grey on its own can read flat — even boring — but here it's the opposite. The deep red edging anchors it, and the scattered mustard-purple-red motifs make the whole thing come alive against the soft grey base. It's a rich, layered combination that looks far more interesting than a single-tone saree. And because it's a 120-count muslin, the fabric is completely breathable, airy, and light enough to wear every day. It's a perfect summer saree and an easy pick for a corporate or working woman in any line of work. Slip it on for a lunch, a brunch, a full day at the desk — it just fits the bill.
The body is filled with flower motifs in Jamdani weave, done in multiple colors — deep red, mustard, and purple. They sit beautifully across the grey base and do something clever: they pull the grey out of "plain" territory and make it look intentional and elegant. The color play is what makes this saree work.
The pallu is the fullest part. It carries extensive floral vine work in multi-color threadwork — mustard, purple, and red — along with scattered booties, thin red pinstripes, and bands. All of it together makes the saree feel complete and rich rather than sparse. The saree also comes with a blouse piece to complete the set.
Border Details: The border has deep red edging running along both the top and bottom. Just inside that, there are fine red pinstripes in thread work, again on both edges. Then comes the real star — the border design itself, a floral vine pattern worked in the classic Jamdani needle technique, in deep red, purple, and mustard. The detailing is clean and deliberate, and it looks beautiful framing the grey.
Special Techniques: This is a yarn-dyed saree, which means the threads are dyed before weaving, not the finished cloth after. Jamdani itself is a supplementary-weft technique: the plain muslin ground is woven on the loom, and as it's being made, the weaver adds extra colored thread by hand with a fine needle, building each motif directly into the fabric. The pattern is part of the weave, not printed or stitched on top.
Cotton vs. Muslin — the quick difference
The simplest way to picture it: cotton jamdani uses thicker, lower-count yarn, so the cloth is sturdier and a bit heavier, and the motifs sit on a coarser ground. Muslin uses an ultra-fine, high-count yarn like this 120-count, so the fabric is thin, soft, and sheer. That fineness is exactly what makes muslin jamdani so hard to weave — the threads are delicate, the hand-needle work on such a fine base demands far more skill and patience, and a single slip shows. That difficulty is also why a muslin jamdani stands out: you're getting the same intricate handwork laid onto a far more demanding, featherlight cloth.
Season: All seasons
Care Instructions: Only dry cleaning. Never steam iron. If ironing at home, place a cotton/mulmul cloth on top of the saree and use your iron at the lowest heat setting. Our skilled artisans use natural dyes for all our handloom collection and this will protect the intricate zari work, fabric and wont harm your precious handloom.
Store in a cotton bag or a muslin cloth to protect against moisture."

Handloom sarees are entirely hand-woven on traditional looms by skilled artisans. Natural variations like minor thread ends, slight pattern variations, or subtle texture differences are authentic characteristics, not defects. These make each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
We photograph our sarees professionally to show accurate colors. However, slight variations may occur due to screen settings and lighting. The natural handloom process may also create subtle color variations, which add to its authenticity.
