“Handloom sarees are woven entirely by hand on traditional looms. The minor variations in weave are the artisan's signature — proof that no other saree in the world is exactly this one.”
Color: Golden Beige and White
Silk Type: Tussar silk
Loom Type: Handloom
Blouse Piece: Included
Motifs/Patterns: This handloom pure tussar silk jamdani saree is woven in a luminous golden beige — a warm, honeyed tone with natural gold undertones that are inherent to tussar silk's character. The jamdani work across the entire saree is rendered in white thread, creating a soft, tonal contrast that feels elegant rather than stark — white on gold, like light caught in raw silk.
The body is scattered with classic jamdani butis in white, placed at even intervals across the golden beige ground, lending the fabric a delicate, rhythmic texture that is visible up close yet reads as a subtle shimmer from a distance.
The pallu is grand and statement-making. Large-scale jamdani motifs — geometric, architectural forms with floral elements — are densely woven in white thread work across the pallu, with silver zari woven into the border edges of the pallu as well. The motifs are bold, structured, and generously scaled, covering the pallu surface with a density that gives it real visual weight. Tassels finish the pallu edge. The saree comes with a running blouse piece in the same tussar silk.
Border Details: The border is broad and layered — a generous band that carries dense jamdani motifs in white thread work accented with touches of silver zari, giving it a quiet metallic gleam that lifts the border without overpowering the organic warmth of the tussar ground. A golden edging runs along both the top and bottom selvedge throughout the length of the saree, framing the border with a warm, continuous metallic line that ties the entire piece together.
Special Techniques: Tussar silk jamdani is a meeting of two distinct textile traditions. Tussar silk — also known as kosa — is wild silk, harvested from silkworms that feed on forest trees rather than cultivated mulberry. This gives the yarn its characteristic textured, slightly uneven hand-feel and its natural golden colour, which no dye can replicate. This is a yarn-dyed saree: Enhanced and set before the threads are placed on the loom. The jamdani motifs are then hand-woven into this tussar ground using the supplementary weft technique — the weaver introduces white threads and silver zari with small throw shuttles, interlacing each motif directly into the fabric as the weaving progresses row by row. Tussar's textured surface makes this more demanding than working on a smooth silk ground; the weaver must account for the yarn's natural irregularities while maintaining clean, precise motifs. It is this combination — the wild, organic character of tussar with the disciplined artistry of jamdani — that makes this saree a rare and remarkable piece of handloom craft.
Season: All seasons
Care Instructions: Only dry cleaning. Never steam iron. If ironing at home, place a cotton/mulmul cloth on top of the saree and use your iron at the lowest heat setting. Our skilled artisans use natural dyes for all our handloom collection and this will protect the intricate zari work, fabric and wont harm your precious handloom.
Store in a cotton bag or a muslin cloth to protect against moisture."

Handloom sarees are entirely hand-woven on traditional looms by skilled artisans. Natural variations like minor thread ends, slight pattern variations, or subtle texture differences are authentic characteristics, not defects. These make each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
We photograph our sarees professionally to show accurate colors. However, slight variations may occur due to screen settings and lighting. The natural handloom process may also create subtle color variations, which add to its authenticity.
