The base is a soft egg white — clean, calm, and quietly elegant — lifted by a classic Ganga-Jamuna border, where the red runs along the top and black along the bottom. Woven in fine 120-count muslin, it's sheer, feather-light, and has an effortless, edgy character — the textbook definition of a lightweight summer saree. It slips just as easily into a workday or a daily routine as it does into a personal meet-and-greet, a brunch, a lunch, or a dinner. The body is egg white from end to end, scattered with classic Jamdani motifs worked in white threadwork — a soft, tonal play of white-on-white that runs throughout the saree. On top of that fine base, the Jamdani motifs are built entirely by hand on the loom using the needle technique — extra threads are inserted between the base threads to form each motif, one section at a time. It's slow, painstaking work, and on a weave this fine it takes real skill, which is exactly what makes a pure muslin Jamdani such a prized handloom.
