The latter half of the saree is woven in pure matka silk in a warm ivory, with its characteristic natural slub and matte lustre, while the other half transitions into sheer muslin silk that serves as the ground for the double pallu section. The matka silk half is kept clean and plain, letting the ivory colour and the raw, organic texture of the silk do all the talking — no ornamentation, no motifs, just pure fabric.
